The WGCA & GCAA Announces Expansion Collaboration with Folds of Honor through Folds Week
Norman, Okla., March 5, 2026 – The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), in partnership with the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), is proud to announce the expansion of its collaboration with Folds of Honor through the launch of “Folds Week,” on March 16–20. This dedicated week of awareness and fundraising will unite collegiate golf programs across the country in support of military and first responder families and the educational scholarships that honor their sacrifice.
The enhanced collaboration will spotlight two cornerstone initiatives: the Honor Bag Tag Program and the prestigious Patriot All-America Invitational.
A Week of Purpose: March 16–20
During “Folds Week,” WGCA and GCAA member programs will raise awareness and funds to benefit Folds of Honor scholarships while showcasing visible support for military and first responder families through team activations, social media engagement, on-course recognition, and participation in the Honor Bag Tag initiative.
The Honor Bag Tag Program provides a meaningful way for coaches, student-athletes, and supporters to display their commitment in honoring fallen or disabled service members and first responders while directly contributing to scholarship funding.
“Collegiate golf has always represented more than competition,” said Courtney Trimble, CEO of the WGCA. “Through this expanded partnership, our coaches and student-athletes across the country can use the platform of our sport to stand for something bigger; honoring service, sacrifice, and the families who carry that legacy forward.”
“The GCAA is proud to expand on our longstanding and valued partnership with Fold of Honor by supporting and promoting ‘Folds Week’ to all of our member institutions,” GCAA President Will Green said. “In doing so, we can be a vehicle through which our best and bravest can be honored for their service and sacrifice to this great country. By partnering with the WGCA, we can amplify the incredible achievements of Folds of Honor to the next generation of leaders thereby continuing the Fold legacy well into the future.”
Supporting the Patriot All-America
The partnership also strengthens the connection between the WGCA, GCAA, and the Patriot All-America Invitational, a premier collegiate event that brings together top players from across the country while honoring fallen or disabled military and first responder heroes. Each participant plays in honor of a specific service member, carrying their story throughout the tournament.
This expanded partnership reflects a shared belief that golf can be a vehicle for gratitude, leadership, and awareness of our military and first responders and their families and uniting the collegiate golf community in a powerful display of support.
