CARLSBAD, Calif. – Michael La Sasso of Ole Miss claimed the 2025 Division I Arnold Palmer National Individual Champion Award this evening for earning medalist honors following the NCAA Division I National Championship.
Sitting no worse than two shots back after each round, the junior from Raleigh, N.C., used 22 birdies, including seven during his opening-round 68, and no bogeys during his final 10 holes to hold off a handful of All-Americans and win by two strokes on Monday. The two-time PING All-Southeast Region honoree finished the tournament with an 11-under 277 (68-67-70-72) and became the second Rebel to win the individual national championship, joining Braden Thornberry in 2017.
The win was La Sasso’s third of the season and collegiate career.
