Chiles Named 2025 NCAA Division III Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman Award presented by StrackaLine Recipient

PENFIELD, N.Y. – Turner Chiles of Sewanee has been named the recipient of the 2025 NCAA Division III Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman Award presented by StrackaLine.
Chiles recorded five top-10 finishes, including tying for sixth at the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Championship, and carded a 71.4 scoring average in his first season with the Tigers. The Houston, Texas, native is ranked 12th via Scoreboard powered by Clippd and earned SAA Co-Player of the Year, SAA Rookie of the Year, First Team All-SAA, and PING All-Region IV honors.
Mitch Bolte of Wittenberg, Myles Cunningham of Gettysburg, Mattias Morris of Aurora, Nilay Naik of Pomona-Pitzer, Alvin Su of Rochester, and Aman Vantipalli of Babson joined Chiles on the All-Freshman team.
