Skidmore Named 2025 NCAA Division II Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman Award presented by StrackaLine Recipient

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Brandon Skidmore of Wingate has been named the recipient of the 2025 NCAA Division II Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman Award presented by StrackaLine.

Ranked 25th via Scoreboard powered by Clippd, Skidmore recorded seven top-five and five top-three finishes this season. The Gloucester, England, native was a runner-up at the NCAA Championship, guiding the Bulldogs to NCAA Championship Medal Match Play, lost in a playoff at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional, and was a runner-up at The Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate. Skidmore was named South Atlantic Conference (SAC) Freshman of the Year, First Team All-SAC, and PING All-Southeast Region.

Reggie Fear of Eckerd, Tobey Kim of Arkansas Tech, Bruno Marques of Nova Southeastern, and Erik Rengardt of USCB joined Skidmore on the All-Freshman team.
