NEWTON, Kan. – Charlie Box of Hutchinson, claimed the 2025 NJCAA Division I Arnold Palmer National Individual Champion Award for earning medalist honors following the NJCAA Division I National Championship.
Entering Friday’s final round with 13 birdies, an eagle, and tied for the lead, the sophomore from Leicester, England battled through a one-over 73 that saw only one birdie to get to the clubhouse with a one-stroke lead (70-69-71-73, -5) with six groups still to finish. Fellow PING First Team All-American Adam Bresnu, who was in the final group, chipped in for birdie on No. 17 to tie Box’s lead heading to the tournament’s 72nd hole. With Bresnu’s three-putt on No. 18, Box became Hutchinson’s second-ever individual national champion, joining Ben Partridge in 2021.
The win is Box’s fourth of the season and fifth as a collegiate golfer.
