Spark Named 2025 NJCAA Division I Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman Award presented by StrackaLine Recipient
NEWTON, Kan. - Scott Spark of Midland has been named the recipient of the 2025 NJCAA Division I Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman Award presented by StrackaLine.
The First Team PING All-American from Oldmeldrum, Scotland, is ranked No. 3 in NJCAA Division I via Scoreboard powered by Clippd after recording eight top-10 (five top-three) finishes and winning the South Central District Championship by three strokes. Spark enters the 2025 NJCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championship with nine rounds in the 60s and a season scoring average of 71.3 over 40 rounds.
Abe Bignell of McLennan, Ilan Dufrenoy of Garden City, Jack Northgraves of Hutchinson, and Harrison Sewell of Midland joined Spark on the All-Freshman team.
